Árula School offers students who want to do a Higher Technician module in Early Childhood Education, which helps you work in the world of early care. This progream develops the professional career in nursery schools, farm schools, children’s homes, as well as the possibility of caring for children in toy libraries, extracurricular activities and camps.

WHAT WILL I LEARN AND DO?

To programme, design and carry out educational intervention and social care activities with children and their families.

To use resources and procedures to respond to the needs of children and families that require the participation of other professionals or services.

To act in contingencies, transmitting security and confidence.

To evaluate the intervention process and the results obtained, managing the associated documentation and transmitting the information.

To maintain up-to-date scientific and technical knowledge related to your professional activity, using existing resources for lifelong learning.

Professional opportunities when you finish your studies

WORK AS:

  • Early childhood educator in the first cycle of early childhood education, always under the supervision of a teacher, as educators in institutions dependent on state or autonomous and local bodies, and in privately owned centres.

IN ADDITION, YOU CAN BE:

  • Educator in institutions and/or in specific programmes working with minors (0-6 years) at social risk, or in family support environments, following the guidelines of other professionals.
  • Educator in children’s leisure and free time programmes or activities with children from 0 to 6 years of age: toy libraries, cultural centres, libraries, educational centres, leisure centres, farm schools, etc.

CONTINUE STUDYING:

  • In all official undergraduate university studies.
  • You will have preferential access to official undergraduate university studies within the branches of knowledge corresponding to Social and Legal Sciences.

AT THE END OF MY STUDIES... WHAT CAN I DO?

  • VET Specialisation Course
  • Vocational Training Cycle: with the possibility of validating professional modules (consult the current regulations).

Please note that: For the purposes of credit recognition between this qualification and university degree courses, 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits have been assigned, distributed among the professional modules of this training cycle.
